The Talk, Redone
A masterclass for parents who want to raise kids who grow up without the shame, guilt, and silence you did — starting with one conversation at a time.
WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW
Your kid asked a question about bodies, or sex, or where babies come from — and you froze.
Not because you don't want them to know. Because nobody ever showed you how to have this conversation without it feeling awkward, wrong, or like you're saying too much.
So you changed the subject. Or gave a half-answer. Or told yourself they're too young and you'll deal with it later.
You know silence isn't neutral — you grew up inside it. And you don't want to hand that down…
WHERE THIS TAKES YOU
Imagine actually knowing what to say. Not a script you're anxiously reciting — a genuine, calm, ongoing conversation that starts early and keeps evolving as they grow.
Imagine your kid coming to you with questions instead of Google, older kids at school, or silence.
This class gives you the language, the confidence, and the framework to be the safe adult in the room — the one you maybe didn't have.
WHY THIS CONVERSATION MATTERS
Kids don't learn about bodies, boundaries, and pleasure in a vacuum — they learn it from somewhere. If it's not you, it's the internet, their peers, or nothing at all, and 'nothing' isn't actually neutral; it teaches shame by omission.
This isn't about giving kids information before they're ready. It's about making sure that when they are ready, you're the person they trust enough to ask.
HOW IT WORKS

Free to attend live, replay available afterward for 48 hours before becoming a paid offering
Format: talk + live Q&A, so you can ask the specific situation you're navigating
WHAT YOU'LL WALK AWAY WITH
Age-appropriate language for different developmental stages
How to respond in the moment when a question catches you off guard
How to build an ongoing, low-pressure dialogue instead of "one big talk"
How to unlearn your own inherited shame so it doesn't leak into how you answer
How to talk about consent, bodies, and boundaries without it feeling like a lecture
WHO THIS IS FOR
Parents of kids of any age, from toddlers to teens
Parents who freeze up when the topic comes up unexpectedly
Parents who want to break a cycle of silence or shame from their own upbringing
Parents who are fine talking about "the talk" but want tools for the ongoing conversation, not just one moment
WHY EMILY ?
Emily Matthews is a holistic sex coach and educator with 500 hours of training under a somatic sexologist and medical doctor. Her approach is grounded in somatic and embodiment practices, nervous system regulation, and pleasure education — helping women move out of shame, guilt, and disconnection and back into their own desire.
Before this work, Emily spent 8+ years in education and childcare, working with kids from age 3 right through to high school. That background is exactly why Raising the Conversation exists: she's spent years learning how children actually process information, ask questions, and make sense of the world at every stage — and now pairs that with her expertise in shame, sexuality, and embodiment to help parents become the safe adult their kids can come to.
This class is an extension of the work she does every day: helping this generation unlearn the shame and silence they inherited, so the next one never has to carry it in the first place.
You can't control everything they'll hear out there. You can control whether they know they can come to you.
Class starts September 21st 7.30pm AEST.
